Originally designed by dada design for the coastlines of the Philippines, these modular floating homes were a response to climate change. The design also addresses the Philippines archipelagic state with over 2.2 million km2 of operative seas create a stable electricity production challenge. Each home will be self-powered through what they call 'power farming' - a crowd-sourcing methodology. Utilizing tidal generators as opposed to their current use of coal and hydroelectric dams, coupled with solar and turbine generators, a sustainable energy infrastructure would be built for the seafaring culture and 12th largest nation in the world.
